It was time to roll out the red carpet and celebrate again this week as we hosted the first of our Spring Gold Award Ceremonies and welcomed 400 children, parents and carers and school staff to Sheffield Hallam University to celebrate taking part in over 100 hours of learning in their own time.

Children from Angram Bank receive their awards |
This is the first time we have hosted our CU primary school ceremonies at the University, and had children in their Hallam sponsored University style caps and gowns there too! This change has been made as a result of fantastic partnership work with Sheffield Hallam and our current wider consultation/pilot scheme which will hopefully inform our award ceremony structure in the future. It was fantastic to see so many children looking so smart and proud, and its provided some brilliant photos!

Children from 21 schools attended along with their parents and carers and were presented with their awards by the Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Denise Fox and Carol Castle, Head of Outreach at Sheffield Hallam University.
