Sheffield Hallam University kindly hosted the ceremony, which took place in the magnificent Atirum and Pennine Lecture Theatre and there were inspirational speeches from Tracey Lancaster - Head of Corporate Affairs at Sheffield Hallam University, Sam Martin, Assistant Director of Lifelong Learning, Skills and Communities and Sophie Riley, a student at Sheffield Hallam who talked about student life.

Before the ceremony began there was a marketplace buzzing with some of our fab Learning Destinations, including Razzamataz Theatre Schools, Kip McGrath, Sheffield International Venues, Awesome Walls, Activity Sheffield, Explore Learning Hillsborough and Broomhill Music. Student Ambassadors from Sheffield Hallam were also providing lots of entertainment by encouraging award winners to create minions using their fingerprints! Tempest Photography provided an opportunity for a photo in our special Sheffield CU caps and gowns.

The marketplace was buzzing with excitement!

Students from CU secondary schools were presented with their awards along with children and young people who have been collecting credits away from school using their Passport to Learning. We also presented a very special award, our first Gold Fellowship Award (1000 hours) for a CU secondary student! Dominic from Chaucer School was the recipient of this award along with a special goody bag from Sheffield Hallam University.
