Science Brainwaves!

I'm sure you will join us in welcoming Science Brainwaves to the CU family as one of our fantastic Learning Destinations. Based at the University of Sheffield they aim to get everyone involved in the wonderful world of science!

They have two exciting science events coming up in February and if you go along with your Passport to Learning, you can collect credits for taking part! See below for further details.

The Science of Love

Special Guest Speaker: Professor Robert Dunbar
Robin will explore how and why we fall in love, and how friendships are formed.

Friday 7th February 2014, 6.30pm, Hicks LT1, The University of Sheffield.

Is it time for us to start eating insects?

Special Guest Speaker: Dr Morgaine Gaye - Food futurologist
  • Try different edible insects! (We advise anyone with a shellfish allergy to avoid eating the insects.)
  • Learn how insects could help fight food security issues
  • 'Guess the protein' game – can you tell the difference?
