you ever wanted to put a lab coat and extract some DNA, tour the labs, or see
objects frozen in liquid nitrogen?
Then head along to the Discovery Night at Firth Hall, The University of Sheffield on Monday 18th March, 4pm - 8.30pm and collect CU credits for taking part!
On Discovery Night the University’s laboratories and lecture theatres will open to the public for an evening of events for the whole family. There will be mini lectures, demonstrations, and lots of hands on activities for visitors of all ages – everything from dentistry to dinosaurs, quantum computing to medicine.
Everyone is welcome and the event is free. No booking required.
• Meet the skeletons in the Alfred Denny Museum
• Watch liquid nitrogen demonstrations
• Extract some DNA
• Find out what lives in your mouth
• Bring an object to scan in our MRI scanner
