#SCUChallenge 62 - Year of Reading and the Silly Squad!

Did you know 2020 is Sheffield's Year of Reading? There are lots of ways you can get involved. One of those ways is this year's Summer Reading Challenge (supported by the Reading Agency), launched early this year to help keep us busy, learning and entertained at home!

'Silly Squad' is the theme for the Summer Reading Challenge 2020 which will celebrate funny books, happiness and laughter. Children taking part in the Challenge will join the Silly Squad, an adventurous team of animals who love to have a laugh and get stuck in to all different kinds of funny books!

Of course, at the moment, we can't all race down to our local library, sign up and borrow a load of books to get reading but fear not, we CAN all keep reading using the Council's online library. This challenge will guide you through the steps in getting signed up to the Council's digital library (adults and children!), as well as registering for the Summer Reading Challenge itself. We'll also get you thinking about being part of the Silly Squad means…after all, that's the theme for the challenge in 2020!

You can download the full challenge here: https://bit.ly/SCUChallenge62

To claim your credits, please complete and return a Sheffield CU Home Learning Challenge Reflection Diary which can be found here: https://bit.ly/SheffCUReflectionDiary

We can't wait to see your work - please send us a picture along with your reflection diary and feel free to share photos/videos on Facebook and Twitter! #SCUChallenges
